周恩来会见即将离任的波兰大使克泰诺时的谈话

周恩来：这次文化大革命是社会主义革命和社会主义教育运动自然发展的结果。把旧社会遗留下来的旧思想、旧文化、旧风俗、旧习惯破除掉，改革掉，建立新思想、新文化、新风俗、新习惯，这是个长期的工作。

克泰诺：对我们观察家来说，有一个问题不清楚，就是阶级斗争是长期的，为什么出现这样突然的转折？

周恩来：不是突然出现的。过去我们在农村进行社会主义教育运动，现在由农村发展到城市，这首先是从学校开始的，也涉及到报纸、文化界，这些都是上层建筑，是起指导作用的地方。社会主义教育运动深入开展，所以阶级斗争就尖锐化了，只是形式上有些区别，而不是本质的。
