北京中南海国务院的大门成天都有人来登门求见，其中有集体十几个人的，也有的表现的形式和严劣。比如前几天国务院发生了这样一件事情，一个女的带着4个娃娃，身上挂了一块大字牌，上面写着：‘饥饿’二字，在街头上走，一直走到国务院。1951年还曾发生过这样一件事：有一个人白天点了一个大灯笼到了新华门要见毛主席，意思是全国都是黑暗的，只有他这个灯笼是光明的。(p. 24)
