内蒙古农村社会主义教育运动中自杀事件严重。自一九六三年十二月到最近发生了三十八起自杀事件，其中已死三十七人。其死亡情况，大体有以下三种：一是畏罪自杀；二是本人有程度不同的问题，对政策不摸底而自杀；三是个别社员由于受到打击报复，被逼而死。为了严防此类事情的发生，内蒙古党委在最近已发出了“关于在社会主义教育运动中严防自杀事件的通报”。（新华社内蒙古分社）
